The ‘2004 China Network Security System Intrusion Detection and Scanner Technology and Application Conference’ was opened in Beijing Xinyuan Hotel on July 1. Supported by Electronic Information Products Management Department, Ministry of Information Industry and Professional Committee of Computer Security of China Computer Federation, the Conference was hosted by the Deputy Director Liao Daoqi from Professional Committee of Computer Security of China Computer Federation. Over 200 participants from Central Committees of CPC, Ministries and Commissions under the State Council, major military organizations and units, educational institutes, financial organizations, Northwest Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Shougang Group, Sinopec, and other famous information security enterprises have attended the Conference.
As the pioneer in China’s information security, Information Security One (China) Limited has been invited to the Conference and was awarded the User’s Recommended Intrusion Detection Product Certificate according to the survey of IDS products in 2004. Mr. Lin Mingfeng (Product Manager, IDS Products, iSs-One) has given an address on the ‘Developing Tendency of Intrusion Detection Technology’. He firstly introduced the development of world’s network security technology, and analyzed the importance of the IDS in the whole security protection system; then he made a forecast on the tendency of the IDS technology. Finally, he talked about iS-One’s practical experiences on network security products and engineering and also introduced the LinkTrust® IDS. Embedded with the world’s top technologies, LinkTrust® IDS has improved the identifying capability to attacks and largely reduced the rates of false alerting. Participants have shown great concern and recognition on the product.
