The 5th China Information Security Conference was held in Beijing New Century Hotel on May 21 by CCID, Electronic Information Center, Ministry of Information Industry. Mr. Zhang Xuming, (Chairman of CCID), Mr. Jia Yinghe (Network and Information Security, The State Council Informaiton Office) Mr. Shen Changxiang (Chinese Academy Engineering) have attended the conference and gave their speeches. Over 600 participants from central government, authorities, relative businesses and industries, and researchers attended the Conference.

iS-One was awarded the ‘The Most Trustable Brand in Service’ and ‘The Most Trustable IDS Product in China Information Security market”. Vice President of the Company, Benny Hui, attended the awarding ceremony. Mr. Lin Ping, General Manager of Security Operation Development Center has given a speech. Mr. Lin firstly analyzed the reasons why it is still vulnerable to prevent the ever-changing attacks for those industries that have deployed numerous network security appliances. He pointed out the shortage of the traditional information security operation and explained how an effective security policy can lower the security risks and costs. He also introduced the new security protection system developed by iS-One at early 2001. The system deploys suitable security system and reasonable products combination to meet the needs and resources. The centralized and controllable security operation, which differs from the original scattered one, can provide a practical and effective security solution to the user. This unique security protection system has gained great concern and recognition from participants and media.
 
It is said, to be justice, fair and authoritative, the evaluation was judged by two ways, public survey and professionals’ comments. The survey was distributed through sina.com, ccidnet.com, China Information World and other authoritative media for over two months. In the survey, the users vote out their most reliable brands and products. The results were then reported to the professionals for their final comments. The evaluation team consisted of professionals and experts from Professional Committee of Computer Security of China Computer Federation, Internet Society of China and China PKI Forum.
